The Contract links the Business partner to the Installation. This object connects the business to the technical master data. The business master data is the main source of information to run financial processes and transactions in SAP IS-U/ CCS.

When a customer is invoiced, a bill and invoice document is generated. In addition to that, an ‘open item’ finance document is created in the customers finance account

  • Document – A file containing business transactions
  • Line Item – An individual Debit or Credit item in a document
  • Open Item – A Debit/Credit document that is uncleared (not settled)
  • Closed Item – A Debit/Credit document that is cleared (settled)

Utility companies often have to deal with large numbers of items due to the large number of customers, bills and payments
Information on Contract Accounts is given quickly and comprehensively through the Account Display
The Account Balance Display page lists the debit and credit items posted to a contract account
