Grass leaves are isobilateral or typical monocot leaves. In such leaves, at places, the upper or adaxial epidermis contain groups of larger, thin-walled, colourless cells called bulliform cells. These cells are highly vacuolated and can store water, if available. However, these cells lose water and become flaccid in case of water deficiency.
