▶️Answer/Explanation
Ans:
Sticky Tongue:
Benefit: The sticky tongue of the aardvark plays a vital role in catching its food, the ants. Because ants are small and hard to catch, the sticky tongue helps the aardvark pick up a great number of ants with one lick. This makes it get plenty of food to sustain itself.
Sharp Claws:
Benefit: The sharp claws of the aardvark are a necessity when digging. It employs them to:
Burrow into termite and ant mounds: In order to reach its major source of food, the aardvark must dig through the nests of termites and ants.
Dig burrows for shelter: Aardvarks inhabit burrows, which they dig for protection against predators (such as the hyena and lion in the food chain) and for maintaining their body temperature.
