[h] Q

[q]  Sine

[a]

Domain = {\({x|x\in R}\)}

Range = {\({y|-1\leqslant y\leqslant 1}\)}

[q] Cosine

[a]

Domain = {\({x|x\in R}\)}

Range = {\({y|-1\leqslant y\leqslant 1}\)}

[q] Tangent

[a]

Domain = {\({x|x\neq \frac{\Pi}{2}+k\Pi,k\in Z}\)}

Range = {\({y|y\in R}\)}

Vertical Asymptotes at \(x\) = \(\frac{\Pi}{2}, \frac{3\Pi}{2}, \frac{5\Pi}{2}, etc\)

[q]  Transformations

[a]

Sine and Cosine have amplitue of 1 and period = 2π.

[q]  Transformations Rules

[a] \(y= asin[b(x-c)]+d\), Cos is same but with its own starting graph.

Here, a = amplitude

Shift right by ‘c’

Period = 2π/b

\(y= atan[b(x-c)]+d\), Cos is same but with its own starting graph.

Here, amplitude = undefined

Shift right by ‘c’

Period = π/b
